My crochet story

This is how I found a hobby, or how I became a crochet lover.

My name is Rebeka and I love to crochet. My adventure with yarn began earlier than my fascination with crochet. I learned to knit and loved it as a child, and we made tapestries together with my mother, grandmother and sister. Crocheting only entered my life when I was an adult.

The first amigurumi I came across was made by my colleague for her unborn baby. I liked it even then and decided that if I had a child, I would make one for him too. It didn't take long when I had the first opportunity to start crocheting. The birth of my nephew was a great opportunity for me to learn to crochet. As a test, I first made a kitten on my sister's order, which she gave to her friend as a gift, and then I made a bunny (Anatillea - Rabbit boy) for my nephew. After that, only a few crochets came out of my hands, and then the yarns and crochet needles rested in my closet for a long time.

My first self-designed toy was the Snooze Bunny, which I designed and made at the beginning of my first pregnancy. I wanted to make a swaddle for my baby out of some very soft yarn, but the patterns I found (e.g. on Etsy) were all written on cotton yarn and none of them were exactly what I wanted. That's why I set off on the path of discovery and found the ideal yarn for me and started crocheting my ideal nynchyoka. It took 1 month to make the bunny the first time, after a lot of brainstorming and dismantling, I finally hung up the thread with pride and knew that I had made a lifelong friend for my little boy. I have written the pattern carefully so that I can make it for my future child(ren). The bunny was a great success among my friends, many people said how beautiful it was and my pride continued to swell.

After several months of not crocheting, I showed my childhood and pregnant friend how much my little son loves his Snooze Bunny, and then it was suggested that she would like one like this too. I offered to make it and this time I made my first sample with a small modification. I thought that because of the many positive feedbacks, it was worth presenting this idea of mine to the world and giving someone else the opportunity to make it. Everything started with this sample, my small business was born, i.e. bunnymoonHU.

The appearance of the first crochet pattern encouraged the creation of additional patterns. I realized that in this way I could develop my creativity and create something beautiful. My patterns were largely created through a unique idea, incorporating my creativity, my heart and my individuality.
