This week a really summer I would like to offer a sample For you! I recently had the pleasure of making it Blue Yarn Crochet Summer fairy, which I won in his Instagram giveaway. I was very happy with the prize, because I have never won a pattern before, and besides, I was able to make such a beautiful summer pattern, it was just the icing on the cake. So I'm presenting Enikő's very cute pattern!

About the crochet pattern
Blue Yarn Crochet recommends the Summer Fairy pattern primarily to confident beginners and advanced crocheters. It was new to me too, so I was very happy to learn something new again. The pattern is very detailed, over 20 pages it describes in Hungarian or English how to make this beautiful fairy. In order to be able to make exactly the same fairy as the designer, he will specify exactly what yarn he used for his own, so if someone sticks to the original look, he doesn't have to think too much about what the exact colors were. The finished fairy was also 17 cm for me, as the pattern says, since I made it with Schachenmayr Catania yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook, like the designer.
In the pattern, what was a challenge for me (and take that in a completely good sense) is the lower hem of the skirt, the wings and the stitching. I would mention her hair separately, because I've been eyeing this hairstyle for a long time. Although I didn't want to try it in terms of amigurumi, I wanted to make a pillow like my mom used to make from leftover yarn. But for a first attempt, this little hair that had to be made for the fairy was quite good.
I think the fairy is really phenomenal, as you can see in the pictures, it just fits in the palm of my hand, so it can be an ideal gift for a little friend or a baby born in the summer. While I was making the fairy, the inspiration came to me that I could also imagine this beautiful girl on top of a door knocker wreath, in the company of various wildflowers. If someone makes one, don't hesitate! And share with me how you did it! 🙂 Every year I just plan the different seasonal door decorations, in practice only the Christmas one has been realized so far.
Blue Yarn Crochet Patterns
Among Enikő's patterns, which I have been eyeing for a long time and deservedly one of his most popular creations are the Christmas angels, which can be purchased in a package with the Nativity figures (Mary, Joseph and Jesus). I think it's a very nice holiday table, you could even make an Advent table decoration out of them.
The fairy of summer certainly has siblings, so if you are thinking of a fairy of another season, take a look at Blue Yarn Crochet's patterns. Personally, apart from summer, winter is my favorite, maybe it's not a coincidence, since I was also born in winter.
