Niki's Craft Crochet has prepared a very useful article for Advent Crochet today. Survival tips for Christmas I think everyone has a big family, and a small family. In her article, Niki gives great time management tips on how to plan the preparations for Christmas and not make the same mistake that I fall into almost every year. I want everything, especially 48 hours in a day. In this article, you can find out how you can help yourself by spending even half an hour so that when the holidays come, you don't feel like you're sleeping through the whole Christmas because you've prepared so much for it. But that's why everyone feels it's not right, right? After all, we don't clean, bake, and cook so that we end up falling apart on the big day. So if your days are also in chaos at this time and you need a little line manager, Niki will help you get to the holidays a little more relaxed!
Reading Niki's article, I completely recognized myself. I want everything, of course, for the house to shine, for the drawers and shelves that haven't been moved in 1000 years to be in order and, of course, for Christmas Eve to have at least six courses, with eight types of cookies. In the meantime, of course, there should be Christmas atmosphere, snowfall, happiness and love. I don't think this has ever been done together like this. Let's say it's okay - especially after the children are born - to let things go. Those drawers and shelves have been dirty so far, I'm sure that the little angels won't look in there this year either, and if the windows aren't perfectly clean, you can survive. In most cases, I make a mess, but last year, for the first time, I managed to wrap all the presents by mid-December and didn't even bother with the Christmas menu - because we ordered. Last year was special, of course, because every minute I was preparing for the delivery room, so I wanted to make sure that Christmas - even if we won't all be together - will be wonderful for my little boy. In the end, luckily, we were able to spend it together and it was a very good feeling that on the 24th we didn't have to worry about cooking, just relax and enjoy the joy and celebration of the holiness of Christmas. This year I may not be as skilled as last year, but the proven experiences gained from previous years will remain. The gift list is already available at the beginning/middle of December and we order everything online, so I save walking around (especially with two children). I only bake three halves, and my sister and I share half, so there will be many varieties, but not too many. I order the fish soup, we pick up the Christmas tree in the usual place on the morning of Christmas Eve. The cleaning is an average cleaning and during the year I sort out the problematic areas continuously, rather than trying to solve everything at once. I will also clean the windows at the end of November, it will be perfect for Christmas. It is worth really thinking about what is important and what is not.
Well, take a look at Niki's article so that you too can save a little time and crochet more during the holidays!
