The appearance of crocheted toys is largely determined by the face the maker gives to the given toy. You can choose safety eyes and noses - of course only if the toy is made for people over 3 years old - and you can embroider the entire face of the amigurumi. I recommend to everyone, whether you are making the game for children or adults, to embroider the face instead. You can also create beautiful ones with the safety eyes, but you can really lend character to our toys with the embroidered faces. As I explained in my previous article regarding the creation of safe toys, it is essential that we do not use safety eyes or noses, but either embroider or crochet the eyes of the crocheted toy. If you haven't read my articles yet, you can find them here: What should you pay attention to when crocheting a toy for a baby? - Part 1 ; What should you pay attention to when crocheting toys for babies? – Part 2
With a couple of blog posts I would like to show you how you can embroider the faces of the toys I designed, and to provide assistance in making it all easy for others. I experimented a lot with embroidering faces, so I would like to share this knowledge with you. Of course, these embroidery techniques can work not only for my figures, so you can experiment with other designers' patterns as well.
In this article, I will show you how I embroider the faces of crocheted elves. First of all, I will show the final results for a few pictures, what kind of faces I usually make for them.
