Today's chapter of Advent Crochet was brought by Anzsel Crochet, with a beautiful Christmas story and related crochet patterns suitable for the holidays. Let's crochet the world in color c. The story you can see and hear in Anett's post is a truly heartwarming Christmas story. As adults, we tend to relegate our childish self to the background, but this story helps us recall how much we believed in magic as children, how much we loved to believe that it could actually happen, and maybe we weren't (nor) far from reality then. Because if the flame of a candle can make the celebration of love more intimate, and decorating a Christmas tree together can bring idyll to the lives of families going through the most difficult times, then I have to say that the Christmas magic works for adults as well. We just have to find our own magic and rediscover the wonders of everyday life. Our own magic power, we crocheters, lies in our magic wand, i.e. our crochet hook, with which we are able to create miracles with the help of a little yarn and some time.
Anett's story helped me recall several of my Christmas memories, which I look back on with a smile. The pattern of the (love/) chain necklace reminds me of my aunt, with whom we made such an ornament together before Christmas Eve. We always looked forward to Christmas, because then we knew that Keri (as we called her) would come. And of course not only because of the cool gifts (which of course was still very important at the time), but because we knew that the days he would spend with us would remain in our hearts forever. We laughed and played a lot and these love-filled Christmases will fill me with warmth for the rest of my life. When I was a child (and we already knew that Jesus didn't bring the tree), we children always decorated it together, tied the candy, while our parents worked on the holiday lunch or cleaning the apartment. Meanwhile, of course, our classic Christmas CD was playing in our HI-FI. Thank you to Anett for helping me recall these memories, if you want to get in the mood for Christmas this year with a nice story and two crochet patterns, check out Anett's article at the link below!
